Dr Maria M. Toledo, M.D.

Maria M. Toledo, M.D. is a board eligible neurosurgeon within the HIMAHEALTH network. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine, from which she graduated Magna Cum Laude Honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed an internship in general surgery, a residency in neurosurgery, and pursued her training as a fellow in endovascular neurosurgery, at the University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine. Dr Toledo then completed a second fellowship in cerebrovascular and skull base surgery in the prestigious Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona; under the mentorship of the world famous neurosurgeon, Dr Robert Spetzler.

Dr. Toledo is licensed to practice medicine in both Puerto Rico and Arizona. She is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the Cerebrovascular Section. In addition, She has been published numerous times in both books and medical journals, some of which include; Youman’s Neurological Surgery, A Guide to Microsurgical and Endovascular Techniques, Neurosurgical Focus, Neurosurgery, and Surgical Neurology.
