Dr. Ricardo F. Sánchez-Ortiz, M.D.

Dr. Ricardo F. Sánchez-Ortiz M.D. is a board-certified urologist within the HIMAHEALTH network. He graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors from Harvard College and earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his surgery and urology training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Sánchez-Ortiz then continued to pursue a two-year fellowship in urologic oncology at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Sánchez-Ortiz has extensive training in the surgical management of urological cancers with an emphasis in laparoscopy and robotic surgery. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Urology at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Urologic Oncology at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Director of Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery at the Urology & Oncology Institute in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
