Dr. Wihelma Echevarría, M.D.

Wihelma Echevarría M.D. is a board certified Pediatric Gastroentologist with subspecialties in Hepatology and Nutrition, within the HIMAHEALTH network. She obtained her medical degree from the Universidad de Puerto Rico and completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Hospital Pedíatrico Universitario at the Universidad de Puerto Rico. She continued her training in Pediatric Gastroentology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Yale University.

Dr. Echevarría has received numerous awards including the Glaxo SmithKline Scientific Research Grant Award and has been published in several journals such as Nature Cell Biology. Dr. Echevarría is a member of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroentology, Hepatology, and Nutrition and the Sociedad de Egresados de Pediatría de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. She gives conferences to Pediatricians around the Island about Pediatric Gastroenterology - related topics.
