Dr Luis J. Almodóvar, M.D.

Luis J. Almodóvar M.D. is a board certified neurosurgical oncologist within the HIMAHEALTH network. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico, from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed a surgical internship and his residency in neurological surgery at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, University District Hospital, and pursued his training as a fellow in neurosurgical oncology, at the University of Michigan, Center of Biologic Nanotechnology.

Dr. Almodóvar is a member of the Puerto Rico College of Physicians and Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the Cyberknife Society. In addition, he has been published in the Ann N Y Acad Science Journal and has conducted extensive research in neurology. Dr. Almodóvar was the first neurosurgical oncologist to practice in Puerto Rico.
