Dr. Roberto J. Santiago, MD

Dr. Roberto J. Santiago-Mendez is a board-certified radiation oncologist within the HIMAHEALTH network. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Subsequently, Dr. Santiago-Mendez fulfilled an internship at the Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and completed his training in Radiation Oncology at the Comprehensive Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

During his years in Philadelphia, Dr. Santiago-Mendez participated in clinical research and contributed to several peer-reviewed publications. Since moving back to Puerto Rico, he has worked at Dr. Isaac Gonzalez Martinez Oncological Hospital, played an active role in oncology-related training programs and served in many leadership positions within the field of Oncology.

He maintains several memberships in national medical societies including the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the Children’s Oncology Group. Dr. Santiago-Mendez has served as full-time radiation oncologist at Hospital HIMA San Pablo since 2007.
